Ed Tiley has been acting and performing for nearly 45 years. He has appeared in more than forty plays including productions of “The Miracle Worker,” “Call Me Madam,” “The Imaginary Invalid,” Poison, Passion, and Petrifaction,” “The Hobbit,” “Oliver,” “Carnival,” “Cabaret,” and “A Marriage Proposal” before turning to a career in broadcasting, graphic arts, and publishing.

Since moving to Apalachicola, FL in 1999, Ed has appeared at the Dixie Theatre in “Chekhov Comedies” and “The Butterfingers Angel…” with the Dixie Theatre professional company. He has also acted and directed with the Panhandle Players, appearing in “Plaza Suite,” “The Ice Man,” “The Footsteps of Doves,” “The Odd Couple,” and Agatha Christie’s “The Unexpected Guest,” “The Second Time Around,” and most recently “The Housekeeper.”

Ed is also the founder of Lone Wolf Dinner Theatre, a privately held company that occasionally produces dinner theatre presentations. He produced, directed, and appeared in “An Evening of Love and Marriage” and “Male Pattern Madness” which were presented in several venues along the coast. Ed also produced, directed, and appeared in the Lone Wolf Dinner Theatre presentation of Jean Kerr’s “Mary Mary,” with performances at the Dixie Theatre in Apalachicola and Nino’s Restaurant in Tallahassee.

Ed is a regular guest artist with Tallahassee’s alternative theatre troupe, Mickee Faust, appearing on radio, in cabaret, and on video. He also works with both the FSU Film School and the FSU School of Communications performing in more than 25 student films and videos.

In the fall of 2009 Ed founded the GALA Community Theatre in Port St. Joe, Florida. A founding board member of the Gulf Alliance for Local Arts, Ed produced and directed the world premiere of “Halfway In,” a comedy that takes place in a rural motel somewhere off Hwy 20 between Dothan and Tallahassee.
